Funded by the FFEM (Fond Français pour l’Environnement Mondial), the project is a French-Ethiopian co-operation. It is placed under the responsibility of EPA (Environmental Protection Authority).
It is structured in 5 independent components :

Component 1- Identification of the various Terroir produce and their production modes.
Responsibility: IRD ( Institut de Recherche pour le Développement), France.

Component 2 - Implementation of a biodiversity preservation device.
Responsibility: IBR ( Institute of Biodiversity Research), Ethiopie.

Component 3 - Elaboration of a legal and institutional Geographic Indications system.
Responsibility : EPA, Ethiopie.

Component 4 - Terroir produce promotion plan.
Responsibility : ABEL, France.

Component 5 - Coordination and follow-up.
Responsibility : EPA, Ethiopia.
